STYLE by Laurie 🎄🎄🎄Top 10 Hottest Holiday Trends
You’re probably asking yourself… “What am I going to wear? How do I look festive
without looking foolish? My kids and grandkids look adorable in crazy Christmas
sweaters… but they aren’t really my thing. I do want to embrace the spirit of the holiday
season. Is it even possible to look holiday-chic?”
You bet it is. You can be better dressed without all the outfit stress. Let me tell you how.
Velvet anything… from head to toe.
Sequins from scarves, jackets, blouses and skirts.
Bedazzled denim… from jackets to jeans and everything in between.
Oxblood handbags and shoes
.
Pave’ jewelry and stone encrusted accessories, buckles, belts and bracelets.
Pearl studded tops and bottoms.
Animal print anything! It’s here to stay.
Chic shift dresses with dramatic details at the neckline.
Glam is back when it comes to feminine blouses, skirts and capes.
A show-stopping coat is a MUST-HAVE this Season
Now that you are inspired by some Holiday Trends here are some ways to Shimmer and Shine at all of your Christmas events and activities.
1) Look at your calendar and take note of what you’ll be doing and where you will be
going. Is the attire super casual, everyday elevated, business casual, chic cocktail,
or fab formal.
2) For each event, shop your closet for pieces you already have and create an outfit
plan for every event or outing.
🎄 For example, are you going to the kiddos Winter performance? Plan a casual
outfit of on-trend jeans, embellished sweater, pop color flats and sparkly
accessories. Have fun with this one and don’t take it too seriously. Your
grandkids or children will love you for it.
🎄 Going to the neighborhood or charity Holiday tea? Check your wardrobe and
build the look.
🎄 Start with the bottom piece. Do you prefer a skirt or pants? Maybe
something in a dreamy winter white or polished navy blue?
🎄 Next, add a shimmery blouse. Something in Silk or Charmeuse will
add that look of sophisticated yet elevated ease.
🎄 Now the accessories. Holiday events just beg for bigger, bolder
accessories. Try upsizing your classic hoops or bust out the
rhinestone brooch. Maybe a metallic belt with your smart wide-leg
pants?
🎄 For footwear, embrace the luxurious Fall trends of velvet shoes, oversized
details, unexpected embroidery accents. ‘Tis the season for
spectacular details to add drama to your wardrobe.
3.) Finally, going full glam? Plan your look from head to toe… in advance. This is
not an outfit to throw together at the last minute. Schedule your hair and nail
appointment prior to the engagement. Try on your frock. Does it need
alteration and is there time to get it done? Do you have the right shoes and
are they in excellent condition? You are bound to get the once-over from top
to bottom. Make sure your jewelry is eye-catching but it’s not the star of the
show. YOU are the main attraction and everything you wear will be the
supporting cast.
Have a wonderful Christmas Season and enjoy the pleasure of dressing up.
